TECHNICAL WRITING
Our technical writing experience includes technical publications for everything from law enforcement license plate recognition software user guides to satellite tracking systems technical hardware manuals. Working as a technical writer and curriculum development specialist, Chris Wyman has authored literally hundreds of technical documents and training materials, including train-the-trainer programs and video support collateral products. You’ll benefit from just the right combination of text and graphics to get ideas and concepts across to your target audience. You’ll also benefit from years of experience that combines tools and talent, solid written word communication and investigation skills, and finely honed “people skills” to use in interviewing your engineers, subject matter experts (SMEs) and support professionals.
You’ll also profit from the experience and abilities of someone who is a “quick study” so that little time is lost coming up to speed on your technology. This is a really important part of what Tech Pubs Solutions does. Chris has designed customized documentation formats that have become the standards for Fortune 500 companies. If desired, we will also sample your corporate colors to include them in the documentation layout and related illustrations.
Using various desktop publishing systems, we have designed, developed, written, and illustrated technical material on subjects directed toward user training and related documentation including sales and marketing for hardware and software products. The majority of our technical experience is with various high-tech products and applications, telecommunications, computer software, law enforcement, public utilities, transportation systems, test/measurement equipment, photonics, and electro-mechanical and electro-optical devices.
In addition, a client's location is not an issue. In a typical "Have Laptop — Will Travel" scenario, Chris will spend a full week at the client's site and then complete the project in our northern New Jersey office during the weeks that follow. Drafts are then submitted to the client for review and approval. Additional trips to the client site are made on an as-needed basis. If required, Chris functions as the project manager, so that clients need not be burdened by the technical documentation process.
With many dozens of in-depth articles and journalistic reports to his credit, Chris Wyman continues to expand and test his writing skills. Examples of his reporting and photojournalism can be seen through these links: north_jersey.com straus_news/articles sparta_independent/news township_journal
